World Cancer Research Fund has announced the results of its survey of 207000 cancer patients.
It says that nearly 79000 cancer cases could have been prevented. Their advice relates to a total changing of lifestyle for the long term.
The conclusions were
1. Stay as lean as possible (without becoming underweight)
2. Exercise moderately – 30 minutes a day is ideal.
3. Bowel Cancers are reduced by eating less red meat and less processed meats.
4. Breast cancers are reduced by consuming less alcohol.
5. Smoking is a no-no if one wants to avoid lung cancer .
